Possible Side Effects of Red Panax Ginseng

Red panax ginseng is considered to be very safe with very few and mild possible side effects in some.

The most common side effect is an inability to sleep. However, this is can be somewhat offset by taking the ginseng very first thing in the morning. Some people may also experience dizziness, disorientation, nausea and diarrhea but these are very rare and can be avoided by reducing the dosage and by allowing the body to adjust for 2-3 days.

There are some references where it is said that adrenal fatigue, a condition that red panax ginseng is known to help alleviate, can result from taking too much red panax ginseng. The effects are similar to lethargy and an inability to concentrate. The best way counter such effects is again to reduce the dosage or pause the intake of red panax ginseng for a day or two every so often.

Petients with heart and blood pressure conditions are definitely advised to consult with their physicians. This is advisable even if one has no known conditions.
